Looking for love on all the wrong beaches

Note; This was about one of my passions prior to meeting my wife.

I’ve only had one passion since we met in 1988.

Looking for love on all the wrong beaches

The past and future at one time
at the ocean
I stood in the harsh wind-rain
and swore
I was Jesus
but I couldn’t find Mary,
she had met a sailor and was,

at the moment I saw the scimitar-shaped gleam of silver light

in a cheap grease hotel

on the Admiral Wilson Boulevard,

inserting quarters

into the Denco

                Toy

                Bed

  1. In the time it takes to write this scream

universes may be won or lost

I want to speak to you and

make you my new you

I want to speak to you

and tell you words

and, oh yeah, listen to who you are, as opposed to my fine fierce fancy of you

(You cannot be her; That Winter Universe is lost.)

and listen to who you are;

will I

let

me

3) I mentioned

Diane Arbus to you

She snapped photos of me

before I was born

We know this

I am a chameleon

around you

I will be soft

be cause

you will let this in me out

around others

I will be hard

because

they will let this me, in me, out

around me?

There’s not any me I remember

4) At the Ocean

I was Jesus-Dracula

im paled

in haled

after him

there is one

someone else

I think

I read this on a rock

                     or a rack

now is it time

to meet

him

this new him

this old him

this cold him

who

still

lives

here
