Greham, Heidnik, Philadelphia #2

Graham, Heidnik, Philadelphia #2

dead Black Female Bodies

stacked like waxy boxes
in north philly rooms

the urge to murder
as urgent as a drink
as surging as a drug,
then the murderholic
again + again+ again-
just another urge, another high,
another deed, another need
that has to be done
when just being macho is no longer enough

these women left no empty spaces
noone seemed to have a notice
that they were not on
their usual hard streets
that their words, laughs, smiles, and crying
were today missing
that these unparticular fares
were re placed

none missed
these
noones

how many other houses
how many other
dead Black Female Bodies
how many more lives ‘will be lessened

is there a list to be made

where is the out rage
where are the screams, tears, loss-
or is horror so daily here
that this latest
is merely horror squared
horror amplified
horror again
and no other meaning
than Friday the 13th-The Philadelphia Story

I knew none of these women
nor any thing of them,
only that their lives,
by the living of then,
some glory had, and more possible if-
but they were only Black, only Female, only Poor
not even deserving the televised death of MOVE members
not deserving of life
when the urge strikes
when the night is too dark for words
just another Philly killing
just another time in History,
to date your life’s experience by where you were when-
