Walking into town through the storm

This was in the February 26th, 2010 edition of

The Swarthmorean.

It’s going up to 95 degrees today

so snow is a comforting thought.

Think cool thoughts as Gene Shepherd used to say.

Walking into town through the storm

Skiers on Rutger Avenue
The afternoon time trials for
The Swarthmore Olympics
Snowtime again again

Struggling through
wind snow cold
for no real reason
but to do it

Swarthmore Post Office open
remarked that
I would talk to Barack about this
at our next conversation

Occasionally Yours
the only place open
all seats occupied
with other crazy people

who came out
just to be out
brought Brownie back
for Bob’s beloved
