This is not a Poem # 1

This is not a Poem #1

This is my schedule, political only, for the next few weeks.

Sunday is a meeting of the Delco Greens Working Group, I’m one of three Co-Chairs, to review our brochure and website.  This is a working and social meeting like most of the groups that have my association.

Tuesday Night, there will be a Town Hall sponsored by State Senator Mike Folmer to promote the VCA (the Voters Choice Act) which is a direct result of the efforts of all members of Pennsylvania Ballot Access, which I founded a thousand years ago.  The Town Hall idea was mine, after we went to a Town Hall sponsored by State Representative Greg Vitali, one of the few Dems (or Repugs) worth a damn.  We will be having this event at Lebanon Valley College at 6pm and the Speakers will be myself, along with Jim Clymer from the Constitution Party, Roy A. Minet from the Libertarian Party, and Carl Romanelli from the Green Party.  The introduction, of course will be by State Senator Folmer, who has created the VCA with out input and, without his help and sponsorship, we would not have gone this far.

Wed. June 5th is the monthly meeting of the Delco Green Party back in Swarthmore, after a meeting in Havertown.  We will probably have our next two meetings here, then maybe September in Upper Darby.

Next, on Thursday, we will have the LCB Privatization Forum in Bryn Mawr. This is a Democracy Unplugged event and we have 3 of the 4 Panelists.  The two anti-Privatizaton speakers (Pa. is one of two states where the state still has state stores, where I once worked but that’s another story for another post) are Wendell W Young 4th, the LCB Union head and State Rep Daylin Leach. We’ve had a Kathryn Anderson from the Commonwealth Foundation on the other side for quite a while.  I had contacted Christ Stigall, a 1210 morning radio host who has railed against the LCB for a while.  He couldn’t be at the event though he will have Anderson and Young on that morning, tentatively, to promote the event.  Anderson referred me to State Rep Tom Killion who declined and The Delco C of C never returned my email.  I’m still awaiting a response from State Senator Dominic Pileggi, the sponsor of the Legislation and Alex Chrarlton, pres of Delco C of C, whom O told me has many LCB letters in print.  So far, the last two have not responded either way which is irksome.  Meanwhile, we’ve gone ahead with the publicity after last night’s conference call and I let Anderson know of the pendings, figuring maybe she has some clout.  Otherwise we could end up with two on one, which is kind of lop-sided, but, for whatever reason, this may be the result.

Anyway, back to Poetry tomorrow
